Meet the San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame Board of Directors.
Directors are selected based on their contribution over the years to San Francisco Prep Athletics. Every October the Board of Directors meets and reviews over 50 applications and listens to nomination speeches from the SF community.
The Board meets again in November to vote on the eight successful nominees. Each inductee must receive 75% of the Board of Directors vote to be inducted. Successful inductees are informed of the honor prior to Thanksgiving.
Board of Directors
Gary is a native San Franciscan. He is a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School. Gary is retired, yet is employed by the San Francisco Giants Guest Services.
He is a Past President of the San Francisco Baseball Old Timers, and a Past President of the Old Times Athletes Association. His volunteer activities include Public Address Announcer for the Abraham Lincoln High School Football Team, and Boys and Girls Basketball Teams, Announcer for City College of San Francisco’s Football Team and Women’s Basketball Team.
Gary is married to wife Judy for over 55 years. He has two children and four grandchildren. He attends most of his granddaughter’s high school varsity Soccer games.
Olga González Camacho is a trailblazer and pioneer in women’s wrestling, whose remarkable journey exemplifies resilience and determination. A former member of the U.S. Women’s Freestyle National Team, she began her athletic career at Skyline College and San Francisco State University.
Since 1996, Olga has dedicated her professional life to the San Francisco Unified School District as a physical education teacher, coaching numerous sports and inspiring generations of student-athletes. She currently serves as the Athletic Director at Abraham Lincoln High School and coaches the Skyline College Women’s Wrestling Program.
Born in Mexico, Olga overcame significant adversity, including language barriers, limited opportunities, and a battle with cancer, to achieve her dreams. She shares her powerful story with her students, spreading a message of hope, perseverance, and the belief that everyone has the power to shape their own destiny.
Olga is a proud mother of four boys and a grandmother, and has been married to her husband, Danny Camacho, for 26 years. Her legacy continues to uplift athletes, students, and communities throughout California.
Marc Christensen is a third generation San Franciscan.
Marc is proud of his over 60 year association with the San Francisco Unified School District, as student 1951 to 1964, as a playground and night gym director 1966 to 1972, as a teacher 1970 to 2008, as a mentor-teacher 1992 to 2010, and as a coach 1970 to the present.
Marc served on the executive board of the San Francisco Association of Athletic Coaches and Physical Education Teachers until recently for over 46 years, as well as serving as vice-president for four years, president for twenty-two years, and treasurer for twenty years. Marc has been a strong advocate for maintaining a strong middle school and high school sports programs throughout San Francisco.
Marc is co-founder (in 1982) and executive board member of the San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame. He has served on the board since its inception in 1982, and he has held the office of vice-president from 1990 to 1998, and president from 1998 to the present. Marc was inducted into the San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame as a coach in 2007. Marc Christensen continues to be a leader and in service for numerous organizations throughout San Francisco.
Collins also serves as a sports consultant, working with the National Association of Sports Officials (NASO). Collins has advised sports officials and officials associations across the country. He has also published over 100 articles on sports administration, sports officiating, legal issues affecting sports officials, and sportsmanship.
Collins has worked with teams of officials who have worked on sports officials’ independent contractor legislation; indeed, Collins drafted model independent contractor language enacted in multiple states.
Collins is an attorney. He has taught legal writing at the Hofstra University Law School . Collins also has taught in the paralegal program at Sonoma State University while assisting in the compliance office of the Sonoma State Athletic Department. Collins also served a five year term as a staff attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco.
Collins also is a long-time sports official. He is a member of the USA Track and Field, Pacific Association . He has officiated numerous CIF State track championships, has served as head officials for the para-shot put at numerous CIF State championships, and has officiated at the US Paralympic National Track and Field Championships.
Collins also serves as a sports consultant, working with the National Association of Sports Officials (NASO). Collins has advised sports officials and officials associations across the country. He has also published over 100 articles on sports administration, sports officiating, legal issues affecting sports officials, and sportsmanship.

Steve was born and raised in San Francisco and attended Balboa High School graduating in 1966. He was an All-City baseball player and continued his education and baseball career at the University of Pacific graduating in 1970. A highlight of his college days was a perfect game he threw in 1968.
After his college career ended he was drafted by the San Francisco Giants and pitched minor league ball for that organization. After his pro career ended Steve returned to the city and has spent over 40 years teaching and coaching at Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep. Steve also spent 10 years coaching at the college level at USF, SF State and Sonoma State and spent his final year at SF State as the Head Coach. Steve is the Founder and Director of the SHC Hall of Fame Baseball Academy, a summer baseball camp for kids 8-14, for over 30 years.
Steve has been honored and privileged to be a part of five Halls of Fame including the prestigious SF Prep Hall of Fame. Steve has been married to his wife Rose. They have two children and four grandchildren.
Robert “Rob” B. Fung is a respected San Francisco figure whose dual careers in athletics and public service have left a lasting impact on the community he has always called home. Born and raised in the city, Fung’s connection to George Washington High School began long before his coaching days, as he was a four-year varsity starter on the school’s baseball team, earning All-City honors all four years—a foreshadowing of the remarkable athletic legacy he would later build.
Fung went on to become one of the most accomplished coaches in the school’s history. Over 22 years, including 21 seasons as Head Varsity Baseball Coach, he guided the program to 407 victories and an extraordinary 20 City Finals appearances. Under his leadership, George Washington High School secured six San Francisco Section Championships and two Trans Bay Titles. His dedication extended beyond competition, exemplified by his work in creating a Training Facility used by both the baseball and softball programs. Today, he continues to shape the school’s athletic history as Chairman of the George Washington Athletic Hall of Fame.
His outstanding playing/coaching career has earned him induction into both the George Washington High School Athletic Hall of Fame and the San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame, recognizing his profound influence on local athletics.
Parallel to his coaching accomplishments, Fung devoted 30 years of service to the San Francisco Police Department, working in Patrol, as a Specialist, and within the Honda Unit before his retirement.
Above all, Rob Fung is a proud father to his two sons, Christopher and Matty, and remains a revered figure whose commitment to service and mentorship has enriched San Francisco for decades.
Erica has spent over 12 years connected to San Francisco prep sports working in independent school athletic departments. She has worked at both Urban School of San Francisco and The Bay School of San Francisco and is currently the Director of Athletics at The Bay School. She was the head varsity softball coach at Urban for 6 years with an overall 86-28-2 record including 4 league championships including 1 undefeated season, 5 North Coast Section appearances and 2 North Coast Section 2nd place finishes.
Prep HOF Board Member over 15 years. Graduated from Lowell S’63; University of the Pacific S’68; MA UOP, S’71. Also served as UOP’s Athletic Director, 1991-1996, leading the department back to financial stability & into compliance with Title IX, regarding gender equity. Bob served as a substitute teacher, SFUSD, for three years, while also attaining his Real Estate License. He taught 1/2 a class load at CCSF for three off seasons while pursuing his NFL career. Has owned and operated his own company, Legion Properties Brokerage, since 1979.
Bob played in the NFL for 13 seasons. He became Rookie of the Year with the Vikings 1st Super Bowl team, and MVP of the 1973 Atlanta Falcons, becoming the 1st player in club history to be awarded both the MVP and the Team Award for leadership in the same year.
Bob was Inducted into the inaugural classes of: Lowell Hall of Fame;
UOP Hall of Fame. Also inducted into the SF Prep HOF, & the Stockton Athletic Hall of Fame. One of 13 people selected, (2007), to receive the Distinguished American Award in the history of the NorCal Chapter of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame.
After graduation, in 1965, he attended City College of San Francisco before transferring to San Jose State, where he played on countless intramural teams in a variety of sports. John graduated with a degree in Recreation, in 1971, where he began his 38-year career with the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, where the majority of his duties were in supervising the Athletic Division.
John is married with three daughters and two grandchildren.
Dick Morosi
In 1961 Dick Morosi was first team all-city shortstop, from Sacred Heart High, in all San Francisco newspapers and was first team All Catholic in the Monitor newspaper. He’s in the SHCP Sports’ Hall of Fame.
Dick played four years (1961-65) first string varsity baseball at St. Mary’s College where he received a B.A. (History) and later a Master’s Degree (History) and a teaching credential from USF.
Dick worked 43 years in secondary education as a teacher and administrator, retiring as a principal.
Dick has two daughters, three grandchildren, and enjoys time with family and friends, exercising and reading.
He is currently a Family Wealth Advisor at Morgan Stanley and continues to support non-profits through Board representation and fund raising.
Barbara is a graduate of San Francisco State University. She was a physical education teacher and counselor at Lowell High School for 40 years. Barbara was The Girls’ Tennis Coach for 27 years, the Boys’ Tennis Coach for two years, and Lowell’s Athletic Director for 12 years.
Prior to Title IX, for many years, Barbara sponsored the GAA and Block L programs, while serving as the girls’ Physical Education Department Head.
Barbara has served on the SFPHOF Executive Board for over 25 years. She enjoys her retirement with, travel, theatre, bowling, and visiting with friends and family.
Barbara was inducted into the San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame in 2017.
Shortly after retiring from the PD Tony accepted a position at the University of San Francisco teaching criminal justice and public administration.
Tony was inducted into the Washington Hall of Merit in 1993 and the Washington Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013. He was appointed to the San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame Board of Directors in 2015.
Carrie Wert taught physical education at George Washington High School beginning in 1985. She served as the Athletic Director for two years, and as the Physical Education Department Chair for many years prior to retiring in 2022.
She coached Girls’ varsity Volleyball for over twenty years and Girls’ Varsity Softball for over 32 years. During that time, Washington won 10 Softball City and Transbay Championships.
One of here most proud moments was being inducted into the San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame in 2007.
She loved being a teacher and coach for over three decades.
